ABOUT
Hi, I’m Louise. I’m a blind sports massage therapist. After working in Occupational Therapy, I began my training at Loughborough and i have achieved a Level 5 qualification in sports massage. I love helping people and seeing the difference massage can make to their physical and mental wellbeing.
I believe that whenever one feels pain or discomfort, your body is letting you know there is a problem that needs to be addressed. I use massage to treat and aid recovery following injury or overuse and to help provide comfort and relief from pain. As a blind masseuse I have developed heightened sensory awareness, which translates into a more intuitive and focused massage experience. My enhanced sense of touch allows me to identify tension, knots and areas of concern. This can lead to a massage that is not only relaxing but also therapeutic in addressing specific muscular issues. Being blind has developed my listening skills, both verbal and nonverbal cues, providing a more attuned and responsive session tailored to your preferences. I can also offer an empathetic and a non-judgmental environment.
I have worked with various sports people including boxers, martial artists and runners. I have also treated people who suffer from demanding lifestyles, chronic or acute conditions.
